2006 November - Hong Kong ITU

Very first overseas assignment!

20 °C

I just joined my company The Event Age in Nov & this trip in December 06' to Hong Kong is my first trip overseas to help in a project. ITU Hong Kong 2006. My company deals mainly with logistics, ground handling so yeah most of the time, it's very hands on & we really are everywhere & run around like mad dogs. I'm glad that i found this job for it helped me to realise my dreams of travelling!

2nd - 8th December 2006

I can't really remember the things that i did while i was there but i shall briefly state my first overseas experience!

Arrived in Hongkong at night, and went to have dinner at a cafe... haha got my pig's blood porridge which i would still force myself to eat even i was full! Then we headed to a dessert place for more food! Well work haven't started & we have already start feasting! Also had to help Ms. Leow with her pants... Yes i was there to help :)

The day after it was mostly meetings with the clients, settling some issues before the event started. That day we all proceeded to Lady's street for dinner. After dinner, head to buy suits as the clients wanted us to all look the same :)

Every morning, we will head from the Shangri-La Kowloon walking distance to another guest hotel before we head for the Hong Kong Asia World Expo. It was pretty straight forward during the whole event. Making sure that everything at the Booth went smoothly. There will always be a night of social event, this time round it was at International Finance Center, The Isola Bar & Grill. All we had to do was to usher the guests up to the restaurant & till about time to head back, the shuttle bus to bring us back to the hotel.

Other days, with meetings over at Kowloon Shang, we will standby at the hotel recept area. On the last few days we hung out at the expo and it was all good... that i couldn't wait to return home.
